Should the Global Community Embrace New GMO technologies

I need an essay written. I’ve attached the paper guidelines below. I’ve already chosen a topic and started the paper, but am unable to finish it due to time constraints and other assignments. The topic for my paper is: Should the Global Community Embrace New GMO Technologies?
I’ve attached what I have so far below:
It is estimated that roughly 842 million people in the world are food insecure, and nearly 3.1 million children die each year from a lack of nutrition within their diet. Food insecurity is an immediate issue and is exponentially becoming threatening to our society as well as our near future. The simple solution to world hunger is to grow and produce more food, but how do we do that? In recent years, Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs) have emerged, and can potentially put an end to the ongoing hunger problem that plagues our global community. To begin, it is important to examine the human history of crops and agriculture as a framework for understanding the current food insecurity, and the new GMO technologies that have been developed to combat this issue. Humans invented agriculture between 10,000 and 20,000 years ago. During this time period, humans were beginning to domesticate both plants and animals, and the eight “Neolithic crops of emmer wheat, einkorn wheat, peas, lentils, bitter vetch, hulled barley, chickpeas, and flax emerged.” As our ancestors began to domesticate crops, they discovered ways in which to improve crops for agriculture, but more importantly ways to domesticate crops as a means of survival. Throughout all of civilization, humans have repeatedly enhanced and genetically modified crops through selective breeding to increase their desirable traits. Although our ancient ancestors had no knowledge of genetics, they were essentially breaking the barrier of genetics that we come to know today.
